Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: May 20, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited when using docs-keeper. It supplements our Terms of Service. We may update it as new abuse patterns emerge; the spirit is constant — don't use docs-keeper to harm others, the platform, or yourself.

1. No abuse of the GitHub integration

Don't install docs-keeper on repositories you don't control or have permission to modify. Don't use the App to open pull requests against third-party projects without their maintainers' consent. The App never pushes to your default branch and never auto-merges — don't attempt to work around those safeguards.

2. No platform abuse

Don't attempt to evade rate limits, run quotas, or per-org spend caps; create multiple free accounts to multiply free-tier limits; probe, scan, or load-test our infrastructure without written permission; or reverse-engineer the Service except where that right cannot be waived by law.

3. No prohibited content

Don't use docs-keeper to generate, store, or distribute documentation for content that is unlawful, infringes intellectual property, contains malware or exploit code intended to cause harm, or violates GitHub's Acceptable Use Policies.

4. No fraud or misrepresentation

Don't use stolen payment methods, charge back legitimate payments in bad faith, impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity. Accounts flagged by our abuse-detection signals (disposable email, proxy/VPN velocity, abnormal token-spend patterns) may be reviewed and paused.

5. No interference with AI safety controls

Don't craft inputs designed to bypass our hallucination gate, validation step, or safety filters; extract another customer's data through the model; or use the Service to generate content that violates the usage policies of our model providers.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, throttling, suspension, or termination depending on severity. We act faster and without notice in cases of fraud, security threats, or legal demand. Where appropriate we'll tell you what happened and how to appeal.

7. Reporting

To report abuse of the platform, email [email protected]. We review every report.
